My education and experiences are with the best dog and animal trainers in the country who have trained hundreds of species and thousands of animals. They all believe in, and teach, that Positive Training works for all animals, all behaviors, all trainers, all environments.
These methods are the quickest way to build a bond with our companions in a safe and rewarding environment. They are the best way to get desired Behaviors.
After being downsized in 1998, my employment counselor suggested I work with animals. I agreed and began by attending The Arizona Canine Academy in 1999.
Soon after that, I met Bob Bailey at Legacy International Behavior & Training Camp in Washington state. I was fortunate to spend many months over the following years in Hot Springs, Arkansas, attending his courses and getting to know Bob. He became a great mentor and friend.
I opened Alaska Canine Services in Anchorage, Alaska, in 1999 and continued my education in animal and dog training.
I also attended The International Academy of Pet Design where I earned a grooming certificate in 2004 which led to opening and operating my own training/grooming business until 2011 when I left the grooming to others to focus on the training.
My continuing goal is to share with others the benefits and possibilities of using the science of Operant Conditioning and its history.
